How to Make an Engagement Invitation Card or Video Online
To make an engagement invitation online, choose a card or video, prepare your event details, personalise the design, and check the final version before sharing. You can edit a template yourself or order a design personalised by a team. 3VIDEO follows the second approach. This guide explains what to prepare, how to choose a format, and what to check before sending your invitation.

Choose a card or video
A digital card keeps the date, time and venue together for quick reference. A video adds movement and music, but guests still need enough time to read the event details. If you choose a video, send a short text message with it so guests can find the essentials without replaying it.
Choose a design that suits your ceremony and leaves room for readable text. Browse the engagement invitation designs for examples, then check which formats and personalisation options your chosen design includes.
Prepare your event details
Collect these details before you start:
- Both names, with the exact spelling you want displayed.
- The ceremony name, date and start time, including AM or PM.
- Venue name and full address.
- Host names and an RSVP contact, if needed.
Use the ceremony name your family uses rather than treating every regional celebration as interchangeable. Photos, dress code and meal information are optional. If the design uses a photograph, choose a clear image that fits its layout. Keep longer directions in the accompanying message rather than squeezing them onto the invitation.
Create or order the invitation
For a DIY invitation, open a suitable template in an online editor, replace the sample details, preview it on your phone and download the finished file.
If you prefer 3VIDEO to personalise it, select a design, submit the requested details and any photos required by that design, and complete the order. The team then prepares a preview based on the selected sample. Review it and request any corrections through the order support process. The ordering and personalisation FAQ explains the general workflow.
Before ordering, check the selected design’s price, included options and delivery schedule. Photos, music or extra changes may depend on the design. Confirm urgent availability rather than assuming every invitation can be delivered within the same timeframe.
Write a clear invitation message
Lead with the invitation, then give guests the information they need to attend. You can add a personal line, but keep the event details easy to find.
Copy-and-personalise example
Together with our families, we invite you to celebrate the engagement of [Name] and [Name] on [date] at [time]. Join us at [venue and full address]. Please RSVP to [name and contact] by [date]. We would love to celebrate with you.
Check and share the final version
Before sending, check:
- Names, host names and any text in a second language.
- The date, day of the week, start time and AM or PM.
- The venue address, map pin and RSVP contact.
- Text size and contrast on a phone screen.
- Every video frame, with the sound on and off.
- That you are sharing the approved final file, not an earlier preview.
Send the invitation with a short message containing the date, time, RSVP details and venue-map link. Google Maps explains how to share a location or map. Test the link to make sure it opens the correct entrance or venue. A web address shown inside an image or video is not automatically tappable, so paste the map link into the message itself.
Send a test to yourself or someone helping with the event before forwarding it to your guests.
